The visit to Transend Packaging Limited in the LACA Wales Region is a vital opportunity to highlight the importance of moving to more biodegradable products and encourage both caterers and supplier to reduce the use of single use plastic. LACA Members are encouraged to ensure that plastic packing is reusable, recyclable or compostable and there is a consensus across the education catering industry that we must collectively do more.

Last stop of the tour today at Transcend Packaging.

Great team effort, all hands on deck.

Georgina Jones, Food in Schools Policy Officer, ⁦Welsh Government and Judith Gregory, Wales Chair join Scoty Steve.

Last picture of the tour rightly goes to Steve. he has been on the road since last Thursday, clocked over 2000 miles, prepared and served hundreds of meals and is a fabulous school meals ambassador.
