The countdown to NSMW22 has begun

Less than 2 weeks to go!!!! The theme ‘Together we make a difference’ has been very well received as it fits in with many green initiatives already in place around the country. As the school meals industry continues to lessen the impact it has on the environment, NSMW22 is providing a platform to showcase all the great things that are happening out there. There has never been a more important time to get involved as we are encouraging children to make their own environmental pledge to change. This will teach them important lessons for life!

There are 5 great themes to get involved with or you can promote any of your own. Just remember to use the hashtags #makeadifference and #NSMW22 we will share your stories. Tag us into your posts using @LACA_UK and @NSMW

5 themes to get involved with are

• Together, we make a difference launch – A fun NSMW 2022 launch day promoting your activities for the week
• Go green lunch – A day to showcase plant based menus and what you are doing to get children to engage and eat more.
• Our local lunch – A roast dinner day showcasing the best of local British produce, reducing food miles.
• Eat more, waste less – A day to educate children on reducing food waste, recycling and composting. Can you create a low energy lunch?
• VIP Day – Whether you are inviting a VIP or local MP for lunch or just saying thank you to your staff a day of celebrating. All school caterers re VIPs.
